Final Cast List
After much work and collaboration with all the directors, we've finalized that cast list. Again, I wish I could cast everyone in a role to showcase your talent, but each play unfortunately has its limits.
If you're cast for a role and you'd like to accept it, please place your initials next to your name on the list outside of the choir room. If you don't accept your role for some reason, just speak to me privately or, if you can't connect with me, send me an email so we can make other arrangements. In order to allow students to sign their approval and work out any changes, we'll set our first read-through for Tuesday at 3:00. We'll meet in the theater.
If you're not cast for a role, there are so many other valuable and fun ways to get tied into the theater community, show your creativity, and make this show awesome -- from lights, sound, set, costumes, props, makeup and more. Come to our tech meeting this coming Wednesday in the theater from about 3:00-3:45 to learn more.
Thanks to everyone for your amazing auditions, work during callbacks, and your interest and participation in the theater program.

Final Cast List Coming Soon
Happy Sunday evening, PR theater students!
I hope you all have had an enjoyable and restful weekend. Throughout this weekend, I poured over the director notes from the auditions and callbacks, went through the script, and, with great thought, formulated the final cast list. Since you all have amazing talent and we have a limited number of roles, this process becomes even more challenging. The last step to solidify the cast list is to review it with the other directors. I've shared it with them via email and will get verbal feedback from them tomorrow morning.
Once all is set, which will certainly be before noon tomorrow, I'll post the list to the website and outside of the choir room. If you're cast for a role and you'd like to accept the role, please place your initials next to your name on the list. If you don't accept your role for some reason, just speak to me privately or, if you can't connect with me, send me an email so we can make other arrangements. Again, I wish I could cast everyone in a role to showcase your talent, but each play unfortunately has its limits. In order to allow students to sign their approval and work out any changes, we'll set our first read-through for Tuesday at 3:00. We'll meet in the theater.
Thankfully, if you're not cast for a role, there are so many other valuable and fun ways to get tied into the theater community, show your creativity, and make this show awesome -- from lights, sound, set, costumes, props, makeup and more. Come to our tech meeting this coming Wednesday in the theater from about 3:00-3:45 to learn more.
Thanks for all of your help and interest in our theater program!

Auditions and Callbacks -- A Great Night
Wow. What a talented group of students. We had a total of 54 students audition and, throughout the audition process, we couldn't stop commenting about how impressively talented you all are. After auditions, the directors discussed notes and I'll be posting the callback list to the website and outside of the choir room in the morning. While the audition is used to initially show your talent when working and crafting a character, the goal of callbacks is to help the directors see some of those actors play some specific roles in the script, helping to clarify casting.
During callbacks, the directors will ask you to briefly review a scene and then act it out with some other actors. You may be asked to act in several scenes, switching to a different character each time. This helps directors to see your flexibility and ability to take direction. We'll describe more of the process to those of you who are called back tomorrow.
Callbacks will start at 3:00 and may go until about 5:00. Keep tuned for the list in the morning.
Again, great job to all who were involved. Thanks for all of your hard work and for sharing with us your talent and skill.
